Project Highlight: Architectural Millwork at Verispace
Anton Cabinetry provided architectural millwork for a new office in Coppell, TX. Varispace is an innovative workspace that brings first/class amenities and flexible space solutions together in a multi-tenant campus ideal for enterprise/level tenants. They simplify the “traditional” office by offering a flexible, fully-furnished space. In other words, Varispace is a modern, flexible workspace solution offering short and log-term leases catered to meet one’s current business needs.
This project is located in Carrolton, TX and is the new Vari headquarters. It is a Class A building featuring both offices and amenities. Anton Cabinetry was awarded the project in November 2021 and completed it the following year.
Our scope in the project included desks (reception, etc.), laminate casework, stone counters, and wall and ceiling panels in rift sawn white oak. Rift sawn is wood cut with the grains intersecting the face of the board at a specific angle. It is a more difficult cut to make and match. It also takes more time to create and produces less yield, and is considered a high-end product.
The most intricate and challenging parts of the project were the angled wall and ceiling panels. Because of the grain (rift sawn), it was challenging to match. In addition, the ceiling panels were located over a staircase, providing an additional logistical challenge for our installation department.
Anton Cabinetry completed work in September 2022. Because our scope of work is part of interior finish-out, it is common for us to be awarded a job several months before our contribution is needed. This gives us time to carefully plan the and adjust our schedule of production and installation and have the flexibility to accommodate changes in the overall construction schedule.
